We are committed to putting the Word of God into people's hands, hearts, and lives, trusting that truth planted faithfully will take root and produce fruit that lasts.

Nobody grows alone.

We believe the Christian life was never meant to be lived in isolation, so we invest in real, honest relationships with God and with one another, because that is the soil where faith actually develops.

Transform Lives:

We are not here to help people become slightly better versions of who they already are.

We believe the gospel has the power to genuinely change a person from the inside out, and we want to be the kind of community where that kind of change is expected and celebrated.

Authentic Community:

We are not interested in a version of church where everyone pretends to have it all figured out.

We value relationships that are honest enough to acknowledge struggle and deep enough to walk through it together, because that is exactly the kind of community the New Testament describes.

Biblical Authority:

The Bible is not one voice among many that we weigh against our own preferences.

It is the final word on who God is, who we are, and how we are called to live. Everything we teach, decide, and do at Colfax Christian Church is measured against it.

Compassionate Generosity:

Generosity is not just a financial practice.

It is a posture toward the world that looks for needs and moves toward them, because the God we follow gave everything He had for people who had nothing to offer in return.

Developing Family:

We believe the church is strongest when every generation is in the room together.

Faith is not just passed down through programs and classes.

it is caught when children see their parents worship, when grandparents pray alongside grandchildren, and when families grow in the same direction together.

Effective Activity:

Busyness and faithfulness are not the same thing.

We want everything we do at Colfax Christian Church to be connected to a real purpose, aimed at real people, and measured against the mission God has given us. When we work with focus and intention, we honor both the Lord we serve and the community we are trying to reach.

What We Believe

Colfax Christian Church has existed since 1852. We are an independent, non-denominational congregation of believers seeking to live and serve as outlined in the New Testament of God’s word.

We believe in only one God found in the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible to be the inerrant, infallible, inspired word of Almighty God and the final authority for all matters of faith.
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus.
We believe God is creator of all people and things.
We believe every person has worth as one of God’s creation but all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.
We believe that salvation (forgiveness of sins) is offered to all people and comes only by the grace of God through the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection from the dead.
We believe the Bible teaches that the pattern to follow to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord is to believe in Christ as God’s Son, to repent of personal sin, to confess Jesus Christ as Lord and to be baptized into Christ.
We believe the church is the body and bride of Jesus, founded on the day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere.
We believe following the pattern of the New Testament, the Elders lead the local body of believers.
We believe death seals the eternal destiny of each person. The saved will inherit eternal life; the unsaved, eternal separation from God.
We believe Jesus will one day return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
